Antique turquoise brooch with a locket compartment

Here is an incredible antique turquoise brooch with a locket compartment that goes one step further allowing the bottom section to detach giving this brooch a whole new look.
Dating from the 1870’s, this brooch was made in 15ct yellow gold and set with the most gorgeous quality turquoise that matches so well with the rich colour of the gold. Combined with the elegant design, all of this comes together to create such a beautiful brooch.
The top section measures 47.2mm across by 17.7mm and on the back of this piece is a locket compartment to allow a photo of a loved one to be put in making this even more personal and special. This addition of a locket really adds that romantic aspect of this brooch and shows just one of the reasons why there is nothing quite like antique jewellery.
Then the bottom section which measures 18.6mm wide by 34.2mm, can be easily removed from the top horizontal section changing the way it looks.
