Quite often Art Deco jewellery from the 1920's to the 1940's will incorporate a "shape in a shape" aspect, as can be seen here in this lovely Art Deco 3 stone diamond engagement ring from the 1920's.
Hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum, across the top are three round European cut diamonds that are each set into a hexagonal setting. This wonderful design to the ring, shows just why the Art Deco period is as popular now as it was when the jewellery was made all those years ago.
The three diamonds total 0.57 carats, and then on each shoulder there are two single cut diamonds to add an extra sparkle to the ring. These diamonds total 0.06 carats and from the side you can also see the wonderful detail that is as beautiful as you could imagine.
Art Deco diamond engagement rings are the most popular of all eras, and when you see one such as this on your finger it is so easy to see why.
