The diamond is bezel set with the milgrain finish which was typical of Art Deco engagement rings of the time and can be seen as the very fine crimping around the edge which adds so much extra charm and character to the ring.
The diamond is J in colour and Vs in clarity and sparkles so well in its setting.

This can be seen when you look at the amazing angular design on each side.
