What a magnificent piece of Art Deco jewellery straight from the 1920's and set with the most magnificent piece of jade surrounded by diamonds.
Made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum the brooch itself measures 38.5mm across by 31.6mm and the jade in the centre measures 31.6mm by 24.5mm.
The jade is such a vibrant apple green colour and is so expertly carved.
Surrounding the jade is the most wonderful and highly detailed setting for the diamonds in platinum.
There are 16 European cut diamonds that are all individually bezel set with a millgrain finish then to add to the sparkle and elegance are 16 smaller European cut diamonds and 16 rose cut diamonds again with the milgrain finish.
The diamonds total 0.96 carats and all sparkle so wonderfully.
Millgrain setting is the elegant crimping along the edge of the setting which was popular in many Art Deco pieces of jewellery.
The jade alone in this Art Deco brooch is just magnificent and combined with the diamonds and gold and platinum all go to make this such a wonderful Art Deco brooch.
