Art Deco jewellery including Art Deco engagement rings have never gone out of fashion or style and here is a superb example of a 1920's era Art Deco onyx and diamond ring that stands out on the finger magnificently.
All hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum, the ring is set with black onyx which looks superb against the pure white of the platinum.
Making this Art Deco ring even more special, is the fact that the oval shaped onyx is facetted instead of being flat and really captures the light on its own.
However it is the central diamond that really makes this what Art Deco rings are all about. The diamond sits so elegantly in the centre and measures 0.90 carats and is G in colour and P1 in clarity.
Typical of the setting of the Art Deco era, the diamond is milgrain set which is the delightful crimping around the edge of the diamond which adds to the charm and character of an already stunning onyx and diamond ring.
The hand made setting is so simple and elegant and the use of platinum combined with gold was a common technique used by the jewellers of the 1920's era.
From left to right the ring measures 16.5mm across by 20.4mm from top to bottom and if you have been after a fantastic Art Deco engagement ring that will sit so proudly on the finger on its own then this might just be the one.
Besides being used as an engagement ring, this Art Deco onyx ring would look fantastic on any finger and is one that will always be admired and adored.
