$0.00

The jewellery that was produced during the Art Deco era of the 1920’s to the 1940’s remains as popular today as when they were made, and here are an exquisite pair of Art Deco onyx and diamond earrings from the 1920’s.
Beautifully hand made in platinum and fitted with very secure locking butterflies at the back in 18ct gold, the design of these earrings are just exceptional.
With a stylish cluster at the bottom reminiscent of the earlier Victorian and Edwardian era’s, it also incorporates the wonderful angular design typical of Art Deco jewellery.
Measuring an elegant 4.9cm in length, these earrings sit perfectly on the ear and sway magically to capture the light.
Each earring is set with twenty seven rose cut diamonds and one early brilliant cut diamond with each main diamond measuring 0.83 carats that really stand out in the elegant cluster of diamonds that surrounds it. With the diamonds continuing up, there is a final diamond set on each post for the butterfly fitting. The diamonds in both earrings total an impressive 1.93 carats and throw off such a wonderful sparkle that will make these earrings destined to always be admired.

And then where these earrings taper towards the top, they are set with black onyx that really accentuates not only the diamonds but the pure white colour of the platinum.
Platinum is the purest of all the precious metals used in jewellery, and was embraced by so many jewellers of the Art Deco period for its brilliant white colour and incredible strength and ability to be made into such fine work and detail and still be safe and secure enough to hold the diamonds.
Art Deco jewellery set with onyx and diamonds is such a perfect combination and was often used in the 1920’s and with these earrings, it is so easy to see why.
