Here is a truly magnificent Art Deco opal and demantoid garnet necklace that has a style and design that will not only never go out of fashion or style but will always be admired and complimented on every time that it is worn.
Dating from the 1920's, this incredible necklace was beautifully hand made in 15ct rose gold and platinum including the chain which would have been painstakingly made and set with natural pearls.
Set with three solid Australian opals which are all so well matched in colour, the outer border is set with the rarest of garnets - the green demantoid garnets. The combination of the spectral colours coming from the opals, combined with the vivid green from the demantoid garnets, comes together beautifully with both the rose gold and the white of the platinum.
The main section of the pendant measures 2.1cm wide by 4.4cm from the bottom opal to the top and laid out from end to end the necklace measures 39cm allowing it to sit perfectly on the neckline.
With so much charm and character, it is easy to see why there is nothing quite like a genuine Art Deco necklace to adorn your neck.
