Art Deco platinum emerald and diamond ring

Entirely hand made in platinum, platinum was the precious metal of choice for many of the jewellers of the 1920' to 1940's thanks in part to its pure white colour and ability to be drawn into a very fine wire of platinum and still retain so much strength.

This is evident when you look at images of the back, side and under the ring and see how much fine attention to detail there is in this ring.

The emerald is emerald cut and measures 0.60 carats in weight and on each side is a semi-modern cut diamond. This cut of diamond still has 58 facets like today's round brilliant cut diamond, but slightly different angles and has all the charm of a hand cut diamond.

To further add to the sparkle of this ring are 26 old mine cut diamonds then 4 lovely rose cut diamonds at each "corner" of the emerald.

All of these diamonds combine to have a total weight of 1.82 carats and this Art Deco ring certainly sparkles.

From left to right the ring measures 21.5mm across by 11.4mm from top to bottom and really stands out on the finger.
