Art Deco ruby and diamond marquise shaped ring

$0.00

Sitting perfectly on the finger comes this stunning Art Deco ruby and diamond marquise shaped ring that dates from the 1920’s and truly looks amazing on the finger.
With such an elegant design to it, this ring exemplifies why genuine rings from the Art Deco period are continually so sought after and the design will easily allow it to be worn on any finger for any occasion, including making a wonderful example of an Art Deco engagement ring to wear all the time with pride.
Beautifully hand made in 18ct yellow gold, the ring is set with a 0.50 carat marquise cut diamond that accentuates the ring so perfectly.
Surrounding this marquise cut diamond are a very clever use of two different cuts of diamonds – the European cut diamond and mine cut diamond, and the way these diamonds graduate in size so well shows how much detail and care went into hand making this ring all those years ago.
At each end are three European cut diamonds and then leading down each side are eight mine cut diamonds.

(What are European and mine cut diamonds? Find out here: https://www.kalmarantiques.com.au/articles/a-brief-history-of-the-cutting-of-diamonds/ )
These diamonds total 0.32 carats and then to further highlight the ring, there are an additional three European cut diamonds set on each band that total 0.06 carats.
And to really highlight the ring are those wonderful rubies that really set this ring off so well and make it stand out day or night. There are a total of thirty eight rubies that total 0.38 carats and again show why there is nothing quite like the style and design found in so many rings of the Art Deco period.
Measuring 22.3mm by 9.1mm across, this Art Deco ruby and diamond ring is just magnificent from all angles and will truly be loved all the time.
