Here is an absolutely stunning Art Deco ruby and diamond ring from the 1920's that is so beautiful and unique and shows why there is nothing quite like a genuine ring from the fabulous Art Deco period.
So beautifully hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum, there is a delightful cluster of diamonds in the centre which was a popular design from the Georgian right through the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
However unlike a traditional cluster ring, it is of course designed in a lozenge shape that accentuates the finger so well. Besides the nine diamonds in the cluster, there are an additional twenty more diamonds that are so beautifully set into the ring. The diamonds have all been millgrain set which was a popular technique during the Art Deco period which can be seen as the elegant crimping along the edge of the setting. These diamonds total 0.40 carats and have such a wonderful sparkle to them all.
And then to finish the ring off, there are the rubies set on each side that add a lovely fiery red to the ring. These rubies total 0.12 carats and the top of the ring measures 10mm by 10.1mm across or 16mm across from the end of one ruby across the to the other side.
This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful Art Deco ruby and diamond rings that you could ever find and one that will certainly be admired and loved.

The Art Deco period of the 1920's to the 1940's is one era in jewellery time that has never gone out of fashion or style. Remaining the most popular for engagement and wedding rings, the decadent styles and designs continue to amaze and impress so many people on a daily basis. From the black and white combination of onyx and diamonds, to Egyptian revival pieces influenced by Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922, Art Deco jewellery is as popular today as it was when it was made all those years ago.
