Here is a very beautiful Art Deco sapphire and diamond engagement ring that was made in the 1920's and looks as beautiful today as when it was made all those years ago.
Hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum, this ring is set with three European cut diamonds and two Ceylonese sapphires. The diamonds total 0.66 carats and the sapphires 0.76 carats. The colour of the sapphires is just so beautiful and accentuates the ring and the diamonds so well.
(What are European cut diamonds? Click here to read an article on them: https://www.kalmarantiques.com.au/articles/a-brief-history-of-the-cutting-of-diamonds/ )
What is also so nice is the partial bezel surrounding the diamonds and sapphires in such an elegant form and from one end to the other, it measures 17.5mm across by 4.7mm wide and would not only make such a beautiful engagement ring, but would also suit any other finger that it is worn on.
There is something so beautiful about a ring from the Art Deco period, and this is certainly no exception.
