Here is a fabulous Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring hand made in 18ct gold and platinum that will suit any finger and occasion, including making a superb example of a genuine Art Deco engagement ring.
Dating from the 1920's, it was hand made by the Australian company McKay and Co in Queensland and is set with three magnificent natural blue sapphires that total 0.55 carats and are all matched perfectly with a fine blue colour and excellent transparency.
Then there are the two European cut diamonds that give the right amount of sparkle and total 0.38 carats. Looking at this ring from the side, you will see that the band and sapphires are set in 18 carat yellow gold and the diamonds are set in platinum. Both the sapphires and the diamonds are millgrain set which is the elegant crimping along the edge of the setting which was a popular technique during the Art Deco era.
Measuring 4.62mm wide at the centre by 18.1mm from left to right, the ring sits perfectly on the finger and will always be loved, cherished and admired.
