The buckle design was a popular motif during the late Victorian era, and is often seen in not only rings, but bangles and earrings as well, and here is a beautifully hand engraved antique buckle ring made in 1885.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the ring measures 6.2mm wide and 8.6mm wide at the buckle section. Not only doesn't the buckle design make it very beautiful, but the incredible hand engraving around the ring is just spectacular to admire. The time needed to hand engrave this ring would have been immense and the quality and tactile feel to it is just incredible.
Whereas most engraving today is done by an electric engraver or simply stamped out, nothing beats the unique quality of hand engraving such as on this ring here.
Perfect for any finger and occasion and so easy to wear all the time, this is one of the most spectacular examples of a genuine antique hand engraved buckle rings that you will ever find.
