Art Deco jewellery from the 1920's is famous the world over for some stunning pieces of jewellery being created as well as the use of both gold and platinum, and here we have a gorgeous Art Deco diamond engagement ring that looks fabulous on the finger.
Hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum, this Art Deco diamond engagement ring is so simple and elegant in its design.
The five diamonds are all bezel set which is that magnificent detailed crimping that is seen around the bezel of each diamond.
All five diamonds are all lovely hand cut old European cut diamonds which were the fore runner to today's round modern brilliant cut diamond.
In total the five diamonds come to 0.75 carats and from one end diamond to the other the ring measures 16.7mm across by 4.2mm wide at the centre diamond.
The diamonds are set into platinum which was the metal of choice for many jewellers of the Art Deco period as it retains its pure white more than any other white metal and has a lot of strength to hold the diamonds securely.
This is such a good example of an affordable hand made diamond engagement ring right from the Art Deco era of the 1920's and a fabulous example of why Art Deco rings are always so charming and this diamond engagement ring is just spectacular and a joy to admire on the finger.
