The term "Brand new in box" gets thrown around the internet so much especially on various internet auction sites and often ends up the result of a fake being passed off as the genuine article, so we wont use this term here, however what we do have is a brand new current version Rolex Explorer II model 216570 in the larger 42mm watch case that was bought brand new in January 2013.
This Rolex has never been worn with all of it plastic protective covering in place, and of course in pristine condition.
This is the new version of the Rolex Explorer II which replaces the previous Rolex Explorer II model 16570.
With a few differences in the new Rolex Explorer II model 216570, it is now in the larger 42mm case (as opposed to the 40mm case of the earlier model).
And it has gone back to its roots with that simply gorgeous orange GMT hand which looks stunning and is a real handsome standout feature and somewhat of a signature look for the Rolex Explorer II.
The movement has also been upgraded in this newer 216570 model by having the in-house manufactured 31 jewelled Rolex calibre 3187.
This Rolex Explorer II "new generation" also has the new style Rolex Oyster band with the Easylink extension which allows the wearer to very easily adjust the length of the band.
This newer version Rolex Explorer II really sits well on the wrist, and unlike many watches over 40mm does not feel large or cumbersome on the wrist and is very easy to wear. This is a very hard model to come by on the second hand market, and this newer version of the Rolex Explorer II 216570 will most certainly not last long.
