The history of the lucky four leaf clover goes back centuries and has been seen as a lucky symbol to have. In literature it was first written about by John Melton who was an English writer who wrote in 1620 about the clover, "That if any man walking in the fields, find any foure-leaved grasse, he shall in a small while after find some good thing.â€
