Exquisite antique sapphire and diamond ring of the highest quality

Here is an exquisite antique sapphire and diamond ring of the highest quality that is not only set with exceptional sapphires, but also has the most incredible scroll work on the sides.

Dating from the late Victorian period of the 1890's, this ring was hand made in 18ct yellow gold which works so well in complimenting the colour coming from those magnificent sapphires.

Burmese sapphires have an incredible deep blue that just draws you in to the incredible depth of blue. Not only are they superb in colour, but clarity is also matched allowing both the eye and light to enter all the way through each sapphire and makes this ring stand out even more when seen in sunlight. There is no doubt that these sapphires are up there with the best of the best, and all are matched perfectly in both colour and clarity. The five sapphires total 2.28 carats and graduate in size perfectly from the end sapphires to the largest one in the centre.

And then incredibly set between each sapphire, are two rose cut diamonds to add a subtle yet elegant sparkle to the ring to allow it to shine in the sunlight even more. With the diamonds there to highlight the sapphires, the detail on the side is exceptionally beautiful.

With the 18ct yellow gold setting all made by hand, the work on the side of the ring is exquisite and was no doubt made by a jeweller of incredible talent. Made all the more incredible that this was hand made over 100 years ago, the superb quality of the work is matched by the superb quality of the sapphires.
