Art Deco jewellery is so distinct and typical of the 1920's to 1940's and has always remained so popular.
Here is a wonderfully hand made Art Deco ring made in platinum in the 1920's and set with onyx and diamonds.
It is not uncommon to get Art Deco diamond rings set with onyx, however this one is even more very unique and special by having not only two pieces of onyx, but both a carved and then set with diamonds.
And to make this ring even more dazzling, the onyx is surrounded by 28 diamonds. Then running down each side onto the band are a further 3 diamonds each side.Â
The total weight of the diamonds is 0.22 carats and are milgrain set which is where the diamonds have that wonderful crimped edge along the setting which was typical of jewellery made during the Art Deco times.
From left to right the ring measures 13mm across by 18mm in length and sits so well on any finger.
Onyx and diamond Art Deco rings are always so popular and sought after and this Art Deco diamond ring will certainly be no exception.
