French antique sapphire & diamond bar brooch.

The early 20th century when this brooch was made resulted in some very elegant jewellery designs such as this very attractive antique sapphire and diamond brooch.

Made in France in 18ct white gold, the brooch measures an impressive 6.3cm in length by 1.1cm at its widest part in the centre.

This brooch is not simply set with diamonds - firstly they are all expertly set in a milgrain setting which is where you can see that very fine and elegant crimping along the side of the setting that adds that extra character to an already very finely hand made brooch, then there are the 70 diamonds in this brooch as well to look at.

There are a combination of diamonds that were used in this brooch such as the 12 old mine cut diamonds surrounding the sapphire, then there are the 10 European cut diamonds along the centre and finely the very charming 48 rose cut diamonds along each edge of this brooch really making this antique brooch so much more unique and charming.

In total, the diamonds weigh an impressive 2.60 carats making this brooch sparkle day or night.

The centre sapphire has such a fantastic blue colour and really stands out against the diamonds and weighs 0.75 carats.

Antique French jewellery has so much charm and character about it, and this antique sapphire and diamond brooch is so elegant and looks so smart on any outfit and is destined to always be admired and appreciated for its fine quality.
