French Art Deco cushion cut sapphire and diamond ring

$0.00

Here is a magnificent French Art Deco cushion cut sapphire and diamond ring that was entirely hand made in platinum in the 1920’s in the most exquisite design that exemplifies the beauty and charm of Art Deco jewellery.

In the centre is that fabulous cushion cut natural Ceylonese sapphire that displays the most wonderful pure blue colour. It will be so easy to get lost in its captivating colour and set into the pure white colour of the platinum, really makes it stand out so well. Measuring 0.85 carats, both the sapphire and the design of the ring is further highlighted by the fourteen diamonds.

These diamonds total 0.28 carats and the intricate pierce work design that they are set into really highlights both the quality that can only be achieved with hand making a ring over the more commonly seen mass produced cast made rings of today, as well as the beauty of platinum.

Platinum is a wonderfully pure precious metal that is not only naturally white but has the ability to be drawn into a fine wire yet still be strong enough to be able to support the design and setting in the ring.

Measuring 11.1mm wide at the centre by 17.9mm across from where the fancy design starts and ends, this ring would make a superb example of an Art Deco engagement ring as well as easily suiting any other finger and occasion.
