Gold and platinum Art Deco diamond brooch with 41 diamonds
$0.00
The Art Deco period of the 1920’s to the 1940’s resulted in some truly stunning pieces of jewellery being created and here is a magnificent example of an Art Deco era diamond brooch.
So typical of this period, this diamond brooch was made in the 1920’s and was all hand made in 18ct white gold and platinum.
From end to end, the brooch measures 41.6mm across by 13.5mm wide at its widest part in the centre.
Set with a total of 41 diamonds, this Art Deco brooch certainly has some sparkle to it.
There are a combination of 23 semi-modern cut round brilliant cut diamonds and 18 rose cut diamonds giving this brooch a total diamond weight of 1.43 carats.
The use of platinum on the top of this brooch is characteristic also of the Art Deco jewellery of this time and all the diamonds have also been expertly milgrain set which is another characteristic of Art Deco jewellery.
Milgrain setting can be seen as the elegant crimping along the edge of the setting which adds so much more charm and character to an already very beautiful diamond brooch.
In a elegant geometric design with pierce working to highlight the colour of the outfit that it is being worn on, this is such a beautiful Art Deco 1920’s era diamond brooch for all occasions.
