Hand engraved 15 carat yellow gold locket from the Victorian era

This is such a beautiful hand engraved 15 carat yellow gold locket from the Victorian era, that would have taken such an immense time to hand engrave all those years ago, and allows either side to be worn facing forward where it will always be admired and commented on.

The exquisite hand engraving really shines through and shows why hand engraving is far superior to machine engraving or mass produced lockets that are stamped out by the hundreds and all look the same. There is nothing quite like an antique, and nothing more individual than engraving something by hand.

Measuring 31mm by 48mm, inside allows two photos to be placed to make this locket even more special and personal and even well after 120 years has passed since it was made, it still looks and feels wonderful to the touch.

This is a lovely example of a late Victorian locket that will always be loved and admired.
