Perfect for any occasion and time of the day or night, this hand engraved sterling silver collar from the Victorian era dates from the 1880's and not only looks magnificent, but sits perfectly on the neckline where it will always be admired.
With each link so beautifully hand engraved, the quality and detail that can be achieved from hand engraving is far superior to machine engraving often seen today. To think that each link was engraved by hand would have come to to an immense amount of time and the patience and skill to complete this would have no doubt been immense.
With the widest parts measuring 2.1cm wide, the collar measures 45.5cm in length and is fitted with a bolt ring that can be placed at the back or worn at the front and have for example a lovely large antique silver locket attached.
Still in wonderful condition even after 140 years has passed, this antique collar is so beautiful and attractive.
