Like men who had the Albert chain to attach their pocket watch to, the ladies had these to wear with their pocket watches with the pocket watch at one end and attached to an outfit at the other, however today these are more commonly worn as a bracelet where they look so elegant sitting beautifully on the wrist.
This one was made in sterling silver during the Victorian era and dates from the 1890's and has the most beautiful fancy balls and lozenge sections that will be admired from near or far and then with the gorgeous tassel at one end with its original foxtail links, all of these features give this bracelet such a wonderful feminine look to it.
Measuring 24cm from end to end, when worn as a bracelet around the wrist, the swivel can attach to the bolt ring, and this distance measures 20cm allowing it to drape elegantly over the wrist.
This is a very beautiful way to take a traditional antique piece from over 100 years ago and make it just as wearable today.
