Asprey have been dealing in jewellery and silver as far back as 1781 and have continued to make a name for themselves as one of London's leading jewellers even to this day, and here is a gorgeous miniature Asprey sterling silver enamel boudoir carriage clock dating from the start of the 1900's that looks so elegant and regal.
This carriage clock was made in sterling silver and bears the British import hallmark for 1919 and is engraved on the back "MK Dudley Sept 23rd 1928" when it was given as a gift. The case is just gorgeous with the blue guilloché enamel with a fine white enamel border. Guilloché enamel is where the silver is engraved prior to firing resulting in a gorgeous pattern below the enamel that comes through so beautifully.
With the most delightful powder blue guilloché that really makes this carriage clock stand out, it leads the eye so well to the white dial that is signed "Asprey" and bears Roman numerals.
The case measures a dainty 50mm tall (62mm to the top of the bow) by 35mm wide by 25mm deep and looks absolutely gorgeous no matter where it is displayed.
Inside the movement is signed JTC which is the mark for the Geneva Clock Company who were regarded as the finest miniature clock makers of the time and comes with our twelve month warranty.
This elegant miniature clock with a superb movement and retailed by an equally superb jeweller will always look so elegant every time that you look at it.
