The watchmaking firm Movado has always produced such fine quality wrist and pocket watches as can easily be seen in the quality of this pocket watch made in the 1920's.
Movado was founded in Switzerland in 1881 and still produces superb quality wrist watches today.
This particular Movado pocket watch was made for the prestigious jewellery firm Hardy Bros and was retailed by them.
Everything about this pocket watch has the style and charm of the Art Deco 1920's.
From the elegant numerals that are so characteristic of this era that stands out so well and is still so easy to read, to the wonderful Art Deco hands that compliments the font of the numerals perfectly.
There is also the sub-seconds at the bottom and the dial is signed "Hardy Bros Swiss Made" and is completely original and has not been repainted and has achieved the most perfect patina that you could want.
The case itself is made from 18ct yellow gold and has the most elegant 18ct white gold trim on both the front of the case as well as the back and is so refined and smart to admire.
Inside is a 15 jewelled manual wind movement adjusted to 2 positions and is crown set making it a very easy pocket watch to both wind and set.
Measuring 42.2mm across plus the crown, it also measures an incredible 6mm slim plus the plexi which is astonishing what could be created by fine Swiss watchmakers nearly 100 years ago.
The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmakers and also comes with a 1 year warranty.
This is a very fine high grade Movado pocket watch from the Art Deco period that feels just right when you hold it in the palm of your hand.
