1972 Omega De Ville “Emerald” watch designed by Andrew Grima

Here is an amazing vintage Omega watch that not only looks and runs beautifully, but was also designed by one the 20th Centuries most innovative designers, Andrew Grima.

This Omega Deville was made in 1972 and designed by Andrew Grima. He was known as an innovative jewellery designer, whose designs won him prestigious commissions from numerous patrons including Princess Margaret, Jacqueline Onassis, and HM Queen Elizabeth II. Earning multiple awards and accolades, including a Royal Warrant, in 1969 Omega commissioned him to design a collection of 85 jewellery watches. These were to be made in a unique and captivating style. Titled ‘About Time’, these watches have become so sought after in recent years and look truly fabulous on the wrist.

Made in a 20 micron gold plated case that measures 32.5 across by 24.5mm from the end of each watch lug, the facetted crystal on the top mirrors the design of the case, and adds to its charm and character. This is such a stylish watch that look fantastic on the wrist and will no doubt always be a conversation starter each and every time that it is worn.

Inside it is powered by the beautiful 17 jewelled manual wind Omega calibre 625 that has been serviced by our own in-house watchmaker and comes with a twelve month warranty.

This is one watch that really is a piece of art just as much as a watch.
