The SHOM case is reference to the Seamaster created by Omega for France's Service Hydrographique et Océanographique de la Marine (SHOM) which is an organization that documents and studies the oceans.

Measuring 43.5mm across plus the Omega crown, the stainless steel case is octagonal in shape and sits so well on the wrist and is fitted on the Omega sharkmesh bracelet which gives it such a rugged look and feel to it.
