It is becoming increasingly difficult to find large antique mine cut diamonds, so having one that is over 2 carats in size is just wonderful.

And then to highlight not only the diamond but the beautiful setting, there are three single cut diamonds set on each side. These additional diamonds total 0.19 carats and have the millgrain setting along the edge which can be seen as the fine and elegant crimping. This was a technique that was very popular in the Art Deco period and shows the quality of craftsmanship that went into hand making this ring to such a high standard.
