Platinum antique ruby and diamond ring
$0.00
This is one of the most magnificent antique ruby and diamond rings and one that will simply amaze everyone who sees it.
All hand made in platinum around the early 1920’s, this antique ruby and diamond ring has influences from the earlier belle epoch and Edwardian styles as well as coming into the early Art Deco period.
Look closely at the design of this ring and see how spectacular the jeweller made it, with the diamonds around the edge graduating in size and set into a long flowing border, and the diamonds in the centre set into an angular design.
This work is so typical of the early Art Deco rings of this period with multiple shapes and designs.
Then there are the other larger diamonds as well as the magnificent Burmese ruby in the centre as well as 3 more diamonds set onto the band on each side.
In total there are 48 diamonds with a combination of single and European cut diamonds and the diamonds total 1.29 carats, and the ruby in the centre has such a magnificent strong red and weighs 1.50 carats.
Platinum is such a fantastic pure white metal that was very popular for use in Art Deco jewellery such as this ring and is suited for the highly intricate design that can be seen in the ring.
From each side diamond on the top the ring measures 19.3mm wide and from end to end 23.1mm making this a very impressive ruby and diamond ring that will always stand out.
This is a truly sensational example of an Art Deco ruby and diamond ring and one that makes such a statement on the finger.
