Platinum Art Deco diamond ring made in the 1920's.

Platinum is the purest of all the precious metals used in jewellery and was embraced by many jewellers of the Art Deco period such as this very elegant Art Deco era platinum diamond ring.

This ring was made after 1927 as it bears the French mark for platinum and the ring design itself is so typical of the Art Deco rings of this era.

One of the advantages of platinum is that the platinum can be drawn into a fine wire, worked into a magnificent piece of jewellery such as this and still be able to retain the strength to hold the diamonds such as in this ring.

Even from the sides and under the ring you can see how much detail and time went into hand making this ring. The oval top measures 20.2mm by 10.7mm and is set with twenty one single cut diamonds with one mine cut diamond in the centre. This central diamond is set onto a wonderful star pattern making it even more delightful to admire up close and the pierce working on the top is equally as incredible to admire.

On each side there is a further single cut diamond bringing the total weight of the single cut diamonds to 0.55 carats and the central mine cut diamond weighs 0.55 carats.

This is an incredibly elegant hand made platinum ring from the beautiful and elegant Art Deco period and one that will always look so beautiful both on and off the finger.
