Here is such a rare antique family photo locket that holds not 2, 3 or even 4 photos, but an incredible 6 and not only this, but also has the most exquisite hand engraving on both sides.
Dating from the Edwardian era of the early 1900’s, this antique family locket measures 31.4mm across by 33.6mm or 38.7mm to the top of the bail and allows to have 6 photos each 12mm in diameter inside making such a delightful impact once opened.
The case is a 9ct rose gold back and front locket meaning that it has a solid plate of rose gold that was pressed over a metal to allow it to be strong enough to hold the photos inside.
As the front and back are solid gold, this was able to be expertly hand engraved on both sides as can be seen in the images. Hand engraving is always so much more finer and detailed than machine engraving and adds to the charm and character of this locket even more.
An incredible and rare antique photo locket that will be made all the more personal and special when photos of the family are placed inside and worn around the neck.
