Here is a brilliant looking vintage Omega wrist watch that has two very unique and rare features unlikely to be found on any other watch.
Let’s talk about the watch first. To begin with it is a great looking vintage Omega watch that was made in 1944 in 14ct rose gold. The colour of the rose gold looks so good on the wrist and was used quite often in jewellery as well as watches of this period.
The dial is absolutely gorgeous! As can be seen it is completely original and has achieved a wonderful patina that enhances the look and character of a vintage watch. While it can be replaced or repainted, we have chosen to keep it original and combined with the rose gold looks amazing on the wrist.
Inside is a 15 jewelled manual wind Omega calibre R178 that has just been serviced and comes with our 12 month warranty.
The two great features is one that can be seen and ironically one that can’t.
The watch case measures 35mm by 25mm plus the crown and is fitted in what is called an ‘Eagle beak” case. This can be seen at the end of the lugs where the watch band is fitted in the way that they curve down in quite a sharp manner hence its name.
And the other very unique feature is the original glass fitted to this Omega. This is not fitted with traditional acrylic or glass, rather for this model Omega used optical glass.
This was a leap forward from acrylic crystal or standard glass and even after 70 years still retains the original glass.

Both on and off the wrist, this is such a great looking vintage Omega unlike any other out there.
