Although collars have been popular in jewellery design for centuries, they were most popular during the late Victorian period of the 1880’s and 1890’s. More commonly made in sterling silver, this one is made not only in gold, but the less common 15ct gold. 15ct gold was only used for a relatively short period of time from 1854 until 1931 making this collar even more special and unique.

Measuring 44.5cm from end to end, the collar is made up of the most intricate design in the main sections and also the round links that connect them together.
