In over 30 years of dealing in watches, this is the first time we have ever had an Omega Medicus watch, and not only is it very hard to find, the dial is all original and in spectacular condition considering its age.
The Omega Medicus was the first watch ever produced by Omega to have a centre second hand that itself is purposefully over lengthened for doctors to be able to check the pulse rate of a patient. Introduced in 1936, this is also the year that this particular Omega Medicus was produced.
When you look at this watch either on or off your wrist, you will be amazed at how clean the dial is as it is all original and has not been repainted. It still remains so easy to read and the font used for the numerals are so typical of the 1930's era when this watch was produced.
The condition of this dial is quite simply the best that you will ever find.
Inside is the famous Omega calibre 23.4SC - the first movement ever produced by Omega to have a centre sweep second hand. It has been completely serviced and runs perfectly and comes with our twelve month warranty.
Measuring 29mm across plus the crown, the watch case itself is also referred to as an Omega Naiad case which was a water resistant watch case, which even though it was able to withstand severe water depths, we don't recommend taking a lovely vintage watch such as this in the water.
This vintage Omega Medicus watch is just spectacular for so many reasons, and is a real piece of Omega history.
