Rhoda Wager moonstone ring

Rhoda Wager was one of Australia’s most prolific and influential jewellers of the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century and resulted in producing some stunning designs using both gold and silver and various gemstones and here is a stunning Rhoda Wager moonstone ring.

Rhoda Wager was born in England in 1875 and moved to Australia and set up her own jewellery workshop producing pieces of jewellery in the form of rings, bracelets, necklaces and brooches between 1921 to 1946 and here we have a fabulous ring that can easily be attributed to her.
Even though her rings were not signed with her mark, and there are many other pieces of jewellery that has that at first glance a similar style, this one can so easily be attributed to her.
Entirely made in sterling silver, firstly the band has a double band at the back instead of just one which was often seen in her designs and the leaf work with the sculptured shape and hand engraved aspects as well as the gum nuts are all very characteristic of her jewellery.
And lastly the use of not just moonstone in the centre, but a large high quality all reflects on her style and keen eye for quality.
This ring sits so well on the finger and measures 22mm by 14.7mm and the moonstone looks incredible set into that beautiful design.
Rhoda Wager jewellery is becoming more and more sought after, and this is one of the finest ones around.
