Since being released in 1954, the Rolex Submariner has remained one of the most iconic watches of the 20th Century and right through to today. Undergoing various changes over the years, from the movement to the case size, one of the most highly prized “Subby’s” would have to be the ones with the gilt dial such as this.

The patina that this dial has achieved along with the hands gives this watch all the right look – so often dials are either replaced or repainted along with the hands, whereas with this watch, the dial and hands are all original and have achieved the most wonderful consistent patina that will make this watch be noticed from near or far.

The 40mm watch case sits so well on the wrist and the watch is fitted on a later Rolex Oyster band, and is so comfortable to wear all the time.

Inside the  26 jewelled automatic Rolex calibre 1570 has just been completely serviced by our in-house watchmaker who himself used to work for Rolex, and therefore serviced to full Rolex specifications and comes with our two year warranty.

There are Rolex Submariners, and there are Rolex Submariners, and this one is most certainly a step up from so many out there and a true collectors item.
