A cabochon cut gemstone is one that has no facets (cuts) to the stone and is completely smooth and domed shape as can be seen here in this gorgeous Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring.
Exquisitely hand made in 14ct rose and white gold, this ring was hand made in Vienna around the 1920's and from the top and even underneath you can see the fine quality that went into hand making this ring.
In the centre is of course that fabulous cabochon cut blue sapphire that measures 1.15 carats and has such a fine blue colour. Then at the top and bottom of the sapphire it is set with a diamond that and surrounding the ring are a further sixteen diamonds that all highlight this ring so well on the finger.
The diamonds total0.24 carats and the top oval section of the ring measures 11.2mm wide by 21.4mm. The rose gold band has such a warm colour to it that looks fantastic on any finger and the detail under this ring is just spectacular.
From all angle, this is one of the most elegant sapphire and diamond rings around.
