Art Deco diamond engagement rings have always remained so popular and here we have a wonderful example of an Art Deco diamond engagement ring surrounded by a border of natural blue sapphires.
Hand made entirely in platinum, this diamond engagement ring is so typical of the work produced by the jewellers of the 1920's Art Deco era, with the use of platinum as well as the design with the use of square cut sapphires.
Also the fine detail in the milgrain setting around both the sapphires and diamond in the centre is also typical where milgrain setting is the very fine and elegant crimping that is done around the border of the setting which just gives that extra elegance to an already very beautiful example of an Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring.
Not only is there the diamond in the centre sitting proudly, there is also two diamonds on each shoulder to add that extra bit of sparkle to the ring.
The centre diamond is a old European cut diamond which was a forerunner to the modern brilliant cut diamond seen today and measures 0.65 carats and is J colour Si clarity and the side diamonds total 0.04 carats and there are a total of 18 sapphires surrounding the diamond in the centre which total 0.42 carats.
Measuring from one side of sapphires to the other, the diameter of the ring is 9.6mm wide and is so easy to wear every day as an engagement ring should.
There is something so special about wearing an Art Deco diamond engagement ring, and this diamond engagement ring surrounded by sapphires makes this a truly delightful engagement ring that will always be admired and cherished and the border of sapphires set against the pure white of the platinum makes this engagement ring very special and unique.
