Here is a very lovely sterling silver antique Albertina that dates from the Victorian period of the 1890's and looks as beautiful today as it does when it was made over a century ago.
Originally the Albertina was designed to connect a ladies fob watch at one end and secured through a lapel via the tee bar at the other end, they are now often worn as a bracelet or attached to a chain or a second albertina to make such a unique necklace.
Also known as a Leontine, from end to end it measures 28cm and from the swivel to the link to make into a bracelet, it measures 20cm. It also has three chains that all move independent of themselves and has such an attractive style to them.
Fitted with a gorgeous tee bar made in a twist design, it also has its original fox tail link tassel which adds so much charm and character to an already very beautiful piece.
No matter how this is to be worn, this antique albertina is just so attractive and will continue to be so versatile.
