The trench watch was one that was used during World War One and was designed to be as waterproof as possible. Whereas watches today have three sections with a top glass and bezel, the middle section of the watch and the case back, the trench watch has just the top glass and bezel which unscrews from the case which is made as one solid piece with no case back.
This can be seen here in this watch made that was made in 1926 in exactly this style of case. Not only does this watch unscrew from the front, but the entire case is made from sterling silver as opposed to stainless steel and this alone gives it such a unique characteristic to it.
However it is the fabulous way the top unscrews and the movement easily flips out on a hinge that makes this such a wonderful conversation starter. Able to easily view the manual wind Swiss made movement which has been completely serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty, you can also view the beautiful enamel dial which is as white and clean today as when it was made all those years ago. With beautiful hands to complete the look, the case measures 34.5mm across plus the crown and sits so well on the wrist.
This is a wonderful look back into the timeline of horology and will no doubt always be admired and commented on.
