The Baignoire is so-called as it resembles a bathtub “Baignoire is French for bathtub) and has a wonderful elongated watch case that looks so elegant on the wrist. The Cartier Baignoire is still produced today, however with it is made with a traditional band and buckle, whereas this one is so much more beautiful in design and aesthetics.

Whereas all other watches have a band with a buckle at the end, this has a deployant clasp that actually sits and fits under the watch case. This incredible feature shows why Cartier have long been regarded as pioneers in both the jewellery and watch industry.

The solid 18 carat yellow gold case measures 34.5mm by 19.5mm plus the crown and the dial has Roman numerals that in Cartier tradition stretch in length as they go around the case.
