Victorian era antique five stone diamond engagement ring
$0.00
Here is a truly magnificent 18ct yellow gold hand made Victorian era antique five stone diamond engagement ring that is not only set with those five magnificent European cut diamonds, but eight smaller rose cut diamonds as well.
European cut diamonds share the same number of facets as today’s modern round brilliant cut diamond, but as they were cut by hand over a century ago and more knowledge has been gained about the angles to cut, the European cut diamond usually has a higher top and bottom than the modern round brilliant cut. So highly desired in recent years, the European cut is being again cut in diamond cutting workshops today, however nothing beats genuine antique cut diamonds for all of their charm and character.
The five main diamonds total 1.76 carats and graduate from the smaller ones at each end to the larger one in the centre. The proportions of the diamonds are just perfect and this ring has the diamonds sitting comfortably across the finger.
And then between each of the larger diamonds are two rose cut diamonds to add to not only the sparkle of the ring, but also highlight the incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into hand making this ring well over a century ago. These additional diamonds total 0.04 carats and like genuine antique European cut diamonds, have all the charm of being hand cut in a wonderful bygone era.
Measuring 6mm wide at the centre by 21mm across, this engagement ring will also easily accommodate a wedding ring alongside.
Then looking at the ring from the side, you will be both amazed and impressed at the incredible scroll work that shows the quality of craftsmanship that went into hand making this ring.
This is a superb example of a genuine antique diamond engagement ring, and one that will continually be loved and admired.
