Here is a very beautiful antique garnet and diamond ring that was made in the late Victorian era of the 1890’s and looks as beautiful today as when it was made.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the ring is set with three lovely garnets that all have such a wonderful deep burgundy-red colour to them, with all three coming together to total 1.60 carats. And then instead of one diamond set on either side of the centre garnet, there are actually two. These diamonds are the earlier single cut diamonds that come together to total 0.08 carats.
The top of the ring measures 7.5mm wide by 18.1mm across and looking at the side of the ring, it has the most wonderful and beautiful scroll design.
Perfect for any woman of any age, this antique garnet and diamond ring will never go out of fashion or style.

Victorian era antique garnet and diamond ring made in the 1890's
Made in the late Victorian period of the 1890's, this antique garnet ring is set with four single cut diamonds. As technology was not available to cut these small diamonds with fifty eight facets like the brilliant cut diamonds, the single cut diamond was used for smaller diamonds around 0.01 carat to 0.05 carats from the late Victorian period of the 1880's until the 1940's.
