Movado was founded in Switzerland in 1881 and is a watch company that is still around today continuing to produce some very lovely watches and here we have a very attractive vintage Movado watch that look so elegant on the wrist.
This lovely vintage Movado was made in a 18ct rose gold case around 1950 and the case has the most wonderful warm colour to it. It is very hard to produce rose gold in high carat such as 18ct gold as the higher in carat the more yellow it becomes and it is very hard to find nice 18ct rose gold watch cases such as this one.
The lugs at each end of the case really makes this a spectacular looking watch with those wonderful angular somewhat futuristic lugs that really makes this Movado watch stand out.
The case measures 34mm across plus the crown by 43mm from end to end and the dial is all completely original with the even numerals and index markers for the odd numbers.
Sweeping around the dial is the centre sweep second hand with the red arrow pointer on the end adding that extra charm to this classic Movado watch.
Inside is a 17 jewelled manual wind Movado calibre 261 movement that was produced by Movado for only a short time from 1949 to 1952 and this Movado watch has been fully serviced and comes with a 1 year warranty.
Vintage watches are always so popular and this vintage Movado watch from around 1950 has such a great look to it and is such an easy watch to wear day or night and with the 18ct rose gold case, the very attractive dial and those wonderful lugs at each end, makes this a stunning example of a classic vintage watch.
