Here is a very handsome vintage Omega Seamaster "Bumper" automatic with the rare Clous de Paris dial that makes this such a unique and special watch.
The Omega Seamaster has been one of the most popular range brought out by Omega since its launch in 1948, and this has the stunning Clous de Paris dial. Also known as a hobnail dial, it is where it has a guilloche pattern on the dial of lines that intersect to form tiny pyramidal shapes, resulting in a fabulous textured dial. Highlighted with the rose coloured index markers, even the shape of the date window at the bottom is somewhat curved to continue the curve of the stainless steel case which itself measures 34mm across plus the Omega crown. Complete with the centre sweep seconds, this is a perfect example of a vintage Omega Seamaster that will always look so stylish on the wrist.
Inside is the equally as beautiful "bumper" automatic Omega calibre 355 that has been fully serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty. A so-called "bumper" movement, the automatic rotor is unlike a modern automatic watch that has its rotor turning a full 360°, the rotor on this watch rotates back and forth, resulting in the rotor moving back and forth that gives a wonderful "bump" that feels great on the wrist and somehow connects you to the watch even more.
From both inside and out, this is such a fascinating and incredible vintage Omega that will always be such a wonderful conversation starter.

A brief history of the Omega Seamaster.
First released in 1948 which was also Omega's 100th Anniversary, the Omega Seamaster was designed to be a robust watch while still being very elegant making it one of the world's first watches that could be worn with a suit and tie as well as a wet suit in an age where blue collar watches and white collar watches never overlapped.
The Omega Seamaster was in fact born as a result of World War II where the British were after a watch with superior reliability and water resistance with very high precision.
After the war the Omega Seamaster became known as the watch to have on your wrist and one that would never let you down, and is a testament to the classic vintage Omega Seamaster watches that we have on offer.
