Vintage Rolex Bubbleback reference 6050

The Rolex Bubbleback is so called as it was the first automatic movement put into a watch and as the movements were thicker than the manual movements therefore had a deeper case affectionately known as "Bubblebacks" and here is a very handsome and stylish vintage Rolex Bubbleback reference 6050 dating from 1948.
The look of the Rolex Bubbleback is wonderful on the wrist and this particular model has a partial hooded lug case which can be seen as the horizontal bar between the lugs giving it a nice clean straight line where the band meets the watch case.
Made for a gent at the time, it would look good on a man or a woman thanks to its universal 31mm watch case size.
Fitted with the Rolex Oyster screw down crown, the dial is completely original and not repainted and has achieved a wonderful patina that is complimented by the centre sweep second hand.
Inside is the Rolex calibre NA that has just come back from a full service and even after nearly 80 years runs beautifully, keeps perfect time and comes with our twelve month warranty.
