Vintage Rolex Thunderbird Turnograph reference 1625

Here is a great looking vintage Rolex Thunderbird Turnograph reference 1625 made in stainless steel with the rare 18ct white gold rotating bezel.

The Rolex Thunderbird was first developed in 1953 and when worn by one "Thunderbird" pilot from the USAF Air Demonstration Squadron, the US Air Forces newly formed acrobatic squadron, it was then taken up by all other pilots and the name "Thunderbird" stayed for the Turn-o-graph.

Designed after the Rolex Datejust, the Rolex Thunderbirds were always made with a unidirectional rotating bezel and never in all stainless steel so came in an all gold version, steel with a yellow gold bezel or this version here with the stainless steel case and 18ct white gold bezel.

Later called the Turnograph, this has remained a Rolex with such a distinct look to it thanks to the very stylish bezel.

Measuring 36mm across plus the Rolex screw down crown, inside is the 26 jewelled automatic Rolex calibre 1625 that runs perfectly and comes with our twelve month warranty.

With a very clean and easy to read dial, this Rolex Turnograph is in wonderful condition and has such a unique and stylish look to it, and combined with the hard to find white gold bezel version, all come together to create a wonderful vintage Rolex watch perfect for any occasion.
