This vintage watch by Baume is just so beautiful and handsome on the wrist.
Fitted in a Swiss made .935 silver case (sterling silver is .925), it is in the most wonderful cushion shape.
The watch case has nice large lugs, capable of fitting a 22mm wide watch band, and the case itself measures an 31mm x 31mm (plus the lugs).
On the back it is engraved "From Mum & Dad, Harold Xmas 1927".
While there are hairline cracks on the dial, this really doesn't detract from the watch, rather it helps to somewhat enhance the vintage look, and to get an early cushion shaped silver Baume watch is really wonderful.
The name Baume comes from the Baume family of watchmakers, and William Baume merged with Paul Mercier to become what is known today as Baume Mercier.
