Wide antique collar made in 15 carat gold in the 1880's

Here is an incredibly beautiful very wide antique collar made in 15 carat gold in the 1880's that looks and feels incredible on the neckline.

Collars have been around since Egyptian times and became very popular in the Victorian era when this one was made. Measuring 21.9mm wide, this is much wider than most collars and the centre links have such a beautiful design that accentuate the collar as a whole.

From end to end the collar measures 44cm and is fitted with the most incredible bolt ring to join the collar together, this ring has a very secure screw fitting to prevent it inadvertently opening, and can be worn at the back or the front to make a feature of it at the front. When worn at the front, it can then easily hold a locket to make this collar stand out even more.

This collar feels so incredibly tactile and looks and feels amazing on the neckline where it will no doubt always get the attention and admiration that it rightly deserves.
